props to Etxeberria. the real question is: with Barca getting Villa in the fold & pondering a move for Fabergas, what moves do you see Real having to make to "KEEP UP WITH THE JONES' " as it were?

There is no certainty that the Fabregas deal will actually be done this summer, it's all speculation just yet. Even if the player has told Wenger he wants to move (and that's based purely on Balague) it doesn't necessarily mean that Arsenal will agree to sell him. About Madrid, the situation of the manager is not yet clear. Personally speaking, I'd prefer to have Pellegrini for one more season. However, a certain Portugeezer has been talking a great deal about managing Real of late...Marca has quoted him today as saying: "I want to go to Real Madrid one hundred percent. When, I do not know." Todays front page of Marca: A lot depends on who is in charge, re what kind of signings are to be made. In other news, Rafa Benitez has said he'd like to be the Spain coach after his time with Liverpool.

Well if he wants Spanish Runner-up medals.... Mort was correct, as usual, in regards to Kaka's signing !!! On another note - Joseba Etxeberria played his last game yesterday. He spent 15 years at Bilbao. He was one hell of a winger in his day....

He asked not to be paid for a whole season citing his 'gratitude for the club' as the reason.
There are plenty money-grabbing players that could do with taking a leaf out of his book.

Apparently, Mou has asked for Kolarov and Maicon as his first signings for Real Madrid. He hasn't even been confirmed as manager! I would be very pleased if Pellegrini stayed, I don't think he will though

I don't think so either....the people in charge & the fans of Real want to win trophies. Mourinho has the ability to make whatever team his hand touches golden in that arena (FC Porto, Chelsea, Inter).

He is expected to be presented tomorrow afternoon.
Probably a four year contract, each year worth 10 million euros.
