Bopara gets a century .Smashing . Other than that the Windies fielding was shocking. Tepid start to the series. Already people are looking to the Ashes series before this one has even started.

Bloody hell A century at #3, opposition all but bowled out in under one day, brave and inventive fielding - who are these people and what have they done with the England team?!

Wooh Bopara! And nicely done Onions! Is that a comment on your culinary skills Han ? All we need now is Lamb and Mustard in the team.

I swear I'm going to wake up at any minute and find that Vaughan and Harmison are in the team, and the Windies are 500 for 7 and Chanderpaul or Sarwan has got a triple century. England win the first Test at Lords for the first time in a while!

What an anti-climax. Nice to win of course but the WI are a shambles. How the likes of Greenidge, Bishop, Richards, Lloyd et al must look on with despair at the shower representing their combined islands. Great scheduling from the EWCB which means they will have to refund all Saturday tickets and losing around £1M in revenue.

Andrew Strauss and Chris Gayle are exchanging a few words.
Fingers crossed for some kind of backlash from Gayle, that might draw in the crowd!

Andrew Strauss and Chris Gayle are exchanging a few words. pleasantries? Debating the merits of Test over 20/20 cricket ? Gayle ought to have the captaincy stripped from him forthwith. His attitude on the pitch is diabolical.

216-7! Not bad! Couple more quick wickets and force the follow-on before tea and I reckon we should bowl them out bar rain!

All out for 310. I presume they'll enforce the follow-on now! 259 runs behind.

Another good day's play - pity the opposition isn't up to much, but England have done as much as could be asked of them.
Weather permitting, I'd expect a win tomorrow, short of some extremely stubborn batting!

Colly the wicket-keeper! He did alright! At least the Windies have come out attacking now. That was some knock by Gayle. Anyone have any idea what Anderson did to upset Fidel Edwards?
