Highly-rated coach John Perkins is the latest new addition to the Derby County Academy staff.
Perkins moves across from Wolverhampton Wanderers to join the ranks at Moor Farm alongside ex-Rams players Darren Wassall and Michael Forsyth, who were also appointed this week.
Derby boss Nigel Clough knows of Perkins from their days together at Nottingham Forest and says the new man brings bags of expertise.
He said: "John is top-class operator whose knowledge of youth football in the Midlands is unrivalled.
"He brings with him vast experience and expertise, but also a passion for the game and an enthusiasm for finding and developing talented young players.
"It is a fantastic addition to the club and one we are delighted to have secured."
Perkins was a member of Nottingham Forest's coaching staff until joining Wolves in 2000 as their assistant Academy manager U16-U18 and youth team coach.
He holds the UEFA A Licence coaching award and has been a huge success in coaching and developing the apprentices as the Black Country club.
Sounds a coup ;D
