Apparently, they had over 30 CV's put forward for the job, and his was outstanding above the rest. If that's true, what does it say about the desirability of the England head coach position?

Results haven't been that great since he took over and he's been incapable of getting results from a team when they are in winning positions. Unless we improve significantly the Ashes have already been won by the Aussies I'm not sure who else applied - but 30 applications seems a lot and there must have been some other international coaches among that 30 surely??

Its a shame we have to get a 'foreign' coach in again as with football.
However Andy was a tough player one of the best wicketkeeper batsmen ever and a constant thorn in Australia's side when Zim were a decent side.
Perhaps he can transfer some of that obduracy and grit and no little skill into the team which has looked rudderless since the departure of Vaughn and Fletcher.
