got about 20 people coming to mine saturday to watch this .......should be a classic pacmans speed will cause ricky problems but rickys for me is the best light welterweight in the world and his power and strength might just see him through.. come on ricky lad !!!!!!!!
I do hope Hatton wins though, He can challenge Floyd out of Retirement then
BoxingScene.com was advised, by two sources who are close to the situation, that a deal has been reached for Floyd Mayweather Jr. to fight Juan Manuel Marquez. The proposed date [unless there is some change] is July 18 on HBO pay-per-view. The two sides have been negotiating for several weeks and the biggest roadblock was the catch-weight. The exact weight was not disclosed to me, but from I understand the two sides agreed on a weight below 145-pounds.
Mayweather has not fought since a ten round knockout of Ricky Hatton in December 2007. Marquez, considered by many as the number-two pound-for-pound fighter in the world, would rise up from the lightweight division to take the fight.
I don't want to say the "fight is 100% done" because only Marquez has signed off. Mayweather has yet to do so - or at least as I'm writing this. I've been told that Mayweather expected to sign off on the fight and an official announcement will happen in the next few days.
If that does go ahead - I fully expect Floyd to dish out a beating.

Ha! Same as Though not quite 20 ppl
The only times I’ve really seen him (Ricky) struggle, were in the Mayweather and Collazo fights.. both were at welter which he is quite clearly not comfortable with and the Collazo fight he took at a month’s notice due to a change in opponent. He does seem to struggle when facing southpaws though and Pac is obviously a very skilled, quick southpaw. I'm still not 100% convinced Pac can operate how he would like to at this weight. The DLH fight hasn’t a proved a thing for me as it wasn’t a contest - DLH was far too weight drained and shot. Weirdly I think Hatton needs to revert to form for this fight and brawl with Pac rather than just use his jab like he did against Malinaggi. If he tried to outbox Pac, he will lose comfortably.
To summarise, I haven't got a clue what is going to happen!! ;D I’ve changed my mind so many times I’ve given up now. Pac is the better boxer, is quicker and is more skilled. Hatton is a beast at light welter and is stronger and more powerful. Possibly a late K.O. but I just can't call it.
hatton will be pleased to see kenny bayliss appointed as the referee who lets the fighters get on with it.....pacman has been to suspect to body shots in previous fights and ricky delivers them better than anyone and with bayliss in charge ricky should be able to get in close brawl and bully pacman as the bigger stronger man...... as much as i like billy graham i think hatton teaming up with mayweather snr has turned ricky into a better fighter
freddie roach pacmans trainer has stated that manny will ko ricky inside 3 rounds,as good as manny is i cant see any fighter getting rid of ricky inside 3 rounds at lightwelter....
Just read an article on the BBC about Pacquiao's past, and about what he means to the Filipino people. It's absolutely amazing to think that one man can mean so much to his nation, and the article itself is surprisingly informative. I can honestly say I know a lot more about Manny now than I did previously!
