DAY ONE of FIVE We were sent out the bat first on a damp and soft wicket. Our openers put on a helpful 119 together and our no.3 came our and played a part too. We were 280-3 a tea. We lose a wicket though and I have to come out, I needed up only getting 11 not out by the end of the day, as we finished on 366-4. There was some good bowling which forced me to defend, but my keeper who was in with me hit a few. So 11 off 76 balls My coach said its good so I can come out and hit the ball heard early today.

Yeeeeah, Sunday wasn't too great. Now have a break this Sunday, so I'm going to the Coventry match, and then it's the last 3 games of the season. We're still rock bottom, lol.

DAY FOUR
We lost 4 wickets really early, and were once 17-4. I was out there on 2* with a debutant no.4. All I said was just not get out, we had a big lead so there was no need to get runs quickly, next ball, he hits it for 6 ;D He was out on a good 59, and I got 60, was bowled by a bloody good ball that was asking for a wicket. We declared on 169-8. With a lead of 495, giving them 496 to win was a bit to much to ask. And finish the day is 139-2, which gives them an outside chance.

Heres a report of the day:
Day Four started off dark and gloomy, rain at 11, but the outfield soon dried and only about 3 overs were lost. Clapton started the day on 8-0, but were sloppy and looked very tired and 4 wickets were lost, and Clapton were struggling on 18-4 from 13 overs. A young Patrick Young on his debut was joined by a on form Andrew Stewart to build a solid partnership of 137. Andrew Stewart with 60 from 135 balls, and Patrick scored 59 from 117 balls, to boost the confidence of the team after a awful first 40 minutes.
Clapton were forced to declare on 169 with a retired hurt batsman and and a late number eleven with a lead of 495. Dale Road finished on 140-2, giving them a chance tomorrow.

Heres a report for the whole match- Again done by or coach.
Clapton started off very well, with the openers putting on 118, and number three, Neil Grovner, added to the scores and built the score up to 366-4 on the first day. Andrew Stewart finished on a slow and hard worked 11. Clapton finished on 593 all out. But were 585-7 at one point. Dale Road finished on 267 all out. GTW who's name we can not use for legal reasons, finished on 4-97, and Andrew Stewart with his classy spin finished on 3-58.

Dale Road batted quite well to finish on 141-2 on day four. But AJ Stewart and GTW built a solid bowling partnership and so only 2 bowlers were used for the day, Dale Road were all out for 232, AJ Stewart took four wickets, and GTW took 5 wickets. All players shook hands and were all clapped off by the 15 spectators watching. The sun came out for the presentation, giving a smile to all 22 players.

I normally sometimes leave about 10 mins from the start as I can see the pitch from my bedroom window! Theres a alley next to my garden and I can walk, its very easy we have had loads of balls fly into our place, one smashed our window last season. We are known to be the latest team to show up in our league

Not me, but my friend who is in my class plays for our 3rds. I play for the 1sts. He hit 185 on Friday. Our coach wrote this unofficial report:
Clapton 3rds XI played a U9 team on Friday after their U13 team had to drop out.
Clapton loss the toss and were asked to bat. The opening partnership stood of 56, off 13 overs. But a steady young player, Tom Mudhill, came out nervously and hit 185 before being bowled, things started to speed up and the team scored 423-3 from their 50 overs on a short boundary. Tom's innings consisted of 11 sixes and 19 fours. One of the highest seen on Clapton 3rds' pitch.
Gillingwood were out played and were all out for 72. A young opener, George Anderson, scored 37, and helped by number ten, Chris Aimsworth with 17. Graham Bow pick of the bowlers with an amazing 5-7, and top scorer in the previous innings Tom Mudhill, bowled his first ever over which included 2 wickets and 2 runs.
Here are the fall of wickets in our innings:
1-56, 2-220, 3-382.
Fall of wickets in theirs:
1-1, 2-1, 3-8, 4-11, 5-16, 6-16, 7-29, 8-41, 9-67 and 10-72.
They had a young opener who scored 37. And took two of their 3 wickets.
