I remember listening to a few radio football shows two or three seasons back when Charlton were in the Premiershite. The vast majority of the time Charlton fans were whining about the lack of ambition from Curbishley and how they had become bored of always finishing in mid table. Some even wanted to be involved in a relegation scrap to enliven their season. Be careful what you wish for. They are involved in a relegation scrap alright and one that could see them follow Manchester City and Leeds and Leicester into League Two. Somehow I think this is not what they had in mind. Watford should be field Cork and Smith from the start for todays game with Demerit still carrying a calf strain, Mariappa will deputise again for him at centre back. Zheng Zhi the Chinese international is set to return for the Addicks alongside Kandol (expect plenty of stick from the Horns faitthful being ex-Luton academy ). However Semedo and Fortune remain on the treatment table. Should we win thgis is the end of the road for Charlton for a while. Their best young players Bailey and Shelvey will no doubt be snapped up by QPR perhaps or West Ham even Tottenham and they can expect more friendly matches against Millwall should they fail to be promoted. Wonder if Curbishley has a smile now and then at some of the fans who gave him immense stick in the latter stages of his tenure at the club.

Who's going to join them though? Naaarwich are deep in the shit - Saints & Baaarnsleh as well as Forest are all in the mix. Blackpool with a great win today puts them one point above Forest and the same points as ourselves. I think Naaarwich and either Southampton or Barnsley. Saints have had some good recent form but you just don't know in this league.. 10 points seperating the last relegation spot and 13th place!

Also, will be interesting to see if Jonjo Shelvey stays with them and if he does will he get any games.
