Definitely, but it still won't affect anything. We're beyond rubbish.

It's not over yet, Alex. But you really do need to beat Bolton. 37 points could be enough.

It's never over until it's over, but the way we've been playing matey, it's not pretty. If we get anything out of the match at Bolton (which I am foolishly going to, along with 4,700 other tigers) I'll be ecstatic!

Thanks guys. I won't mind going down though to be fair, got a few grounds in the Championship I still haven't been to; Forest, Derby, Peterborough, Doncaster, so that'd be alright. But of course it would be nice to actually stay up and have the excitement of signing big players etc! Come on your Tigers!

Hey, Alex, you're still in there with a chance, even though you didn't win!
I didn't expect Newcastle to lose. They now have to get something at Aston Villa, and although Manchester United aren't the club that you want to be playing in this situaion on the last day of the season, they have already won the league and have the Champions League final a few days later. If any time is a good time to play them, this is it - or perhaps I should say it's a less bad time to play them than some other times!

All you need to do to stay up now is to do equally or better than Newcastle and Boro - it's not that big an ask, really!

Just got back from Bolton. A surprisingly good performance from us! Not sure what or how much they'll show on MOTD, but we certainly did enough to win it, and had enough chances, if it weren't for Jussi in the Bolton goal. Bolton was a surprisingly nice stadium, although their fans were absolutely awful! All they did was flap their fan things to make a bit of noise every so often and that was it! A good point though.

i can see fergie fielding a seriously weakened team with an eye on the CL final. Not at all in the spirit of the game, but think he will do it.

I think he will do it too Geo, but even a weakened Man Utd team is a good one! And one that's likely to be better than us!

I think you stand a reasonable chance of getting a point, though. And that could be enough. Aston Villa away is a tricky one for Newcastle.
The important thing is that you're going into the last game with a chance.

The important thing is we're going into the last game in control of our own destiny and not relying on other results. We win, we're safe. As simple as that! Although our home form may have something to say about that!
