Newcastle United manager Joe Kinnear is set to undergo heart bypass surgery, Kinnear, 62, has a history of heart trouble and was taken ill before Newcastle's match at West Brom last Saturday, which the Magpies won 3-2.
He had a heart attack 10 years ago while manager of Wimbledon and spent several years out of football.
Kinnear, who had hoped to leave hospital on Tuesday, will now have surgery on Friday.

He really should take this as a final warning, and not go back to Newcastle. Calderwood might take over until the end of the season

That'd be a shame, 'cause he's a great character and a good manager, but if that's what the stress is doing to him...
