Dyer makes his intentions known before gameDyer: I'd love to score for Saints fans Nathan Dyer is on loan at Swansea from Southampton Nathan Dyer braced himself to run the gauntlet at Fratton Park and declared: I'd love to score for Saints fans. The winger has been out on loan from St Mary's for most of the season but is not exactly flavour of the month in Portsmouth. Last year he was sentenced to 60 hours of community service after he was convicted of non-dwelling burglary from the staff room of a nightclub in Southsea. So it's no surprise he's expecting some stick from the home crowd as he bids to help Swansea serve up an FA Cup shock. Dyer said: 'I am expecting a hostile reception, but I have just got to get on with it. 'I have had a hostile reception before and it doesn't faze me. 'The best way to answer them is with a good performance and a goal. The Saints fans will be happy if I do that, but the main thing is for the team to do well and win the game. 'It does give me a little more incentive to do a bit better, but at the end of the day you have got to want to do well all the time.' Dyer delivers!!... Hahahahaha. Ah, highlight of the season.

Probably. I wish we recalled him for his loan and got rid of Ryan Smith... The position Saints are in ' beggars can't be choosers' I guess. Looks like you wil be beating the path Leeds, Manchester City, Nottingham Forest, Leicester etc who all spent beyond their means will be treading. Add Charlton to that and possibly us as well. Your sports writers are very fair . Gave our kids a glowing write up after the FA Youth Cup game.
