whats all the crap about Taylor? Graham Taylor returning to Watford is similar to the prodigal son returning home, Mort. Some quotes from his interview with SKY: "I accepted the call to become non-Exec Director because I spent two great spells at Watford, the first one being the best 10 years of my professional career." "Watford will always hold a special part in my life" "At the moment things are rather difficult at the club and having been asked (by Andrew Wilson) to become a non-Exec I said yes" "(the remit) is to look at the WHOLE club, not just the footballing side ....I will NOT be overseeing Brendan Rodgers' managerial job" "We have no RIGHT to be in the top division as we are still a small club" "(Like other clubs) we have been spending much more than we should have spent" "I will oversee a FRESH START as regards to finances...I am only just discovring that lots of money has been spent" (Esp: He didn't use the word "mess" but cynically I thought he wanted too!) "Brendan has already spoken to me on a couple of occasions" "It is not a FULL TIME job as I will be retaining my media work such as Radio 5 Live)" When asked if he is effectively going to try and bring the heart and soul back to the club GT said "Yes!" "(As a club) you HAVE to have a relationship with the fans" "There has been a fall out with the Watford Observer and you can't keep doing that" "I will be helping to PULL BACK THE CLUB INTO THE COMMUNITY" "The trust between the club and supporters has been lost......I will try and re-establish that" "There are as many problems OFF the pitch than on it" "I WILL HAVE MY SAY"

join the club shall we talk about turnips instead? Oi less of that please young man. Have respect for your elders. You're right GUPTA. Just an everyday sort of man , very warm personality when you meet him whose love of football shines through. Sad to see him slaughtered by the gutter press ie The Sun, Mirror etc. He introduced improved fitness regimes, dieting , long before Whinger. And he always gets tarred with playing long ball football. We had a decent side Jackett and Taylor in the middle and really skilful wingers in Barnes and Callaghan. It was more of a long pass game at times but we could mix it up. Sadly a lot of the press as with Wimbledon didn't like the idea as with Derby in the 70s of a so called small side upsetting the old bos club. www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_4835734,00.html GT will oversee rebuilding the links with the fans and community in general which have suffered under Homer Simpson and Greedy Barsteward Cashton and seeing how we can maximise revenues as was originally promised. Queen Elton will also return to the board no doubt and throw in some cash as well as I expect.

www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~1538281,00.html God clarifies his role at the club. When the sad but inevitable day comes , I'm sure most of Watford will attend the funeral.
