You should only be able to represent the country of your birth IMHO.

You should only be able to represent the country of your birth IMHO. Totally agree (or parents as well as perhaps). Otherwise why bother with international sport. Rumania and Bulgaria are trying to get their Brazilian/Argentines playing in their league to naturalise and Croatia were pursuing Argentine Dario Cvitanich. FIFA rules meant because only his great grandparents were Croats he could not. Its ridiculous. By the way MagicalDouble, GB and others interested at 9pm tonight BBC 2 Explore 'Patagonia to the Pampas' a more in depth travel round Argentina .

was a cool programe I reckon they should/could do a series MR . Not enough time really to encompass the beauty of the country. All the way from Ushuaia to the Pantanal. Pretty hard to watch the section on the 'Disappeared'. Good to see the ones responsible are being put on trial. Uruguay after going missing in action for some nearly forty years look on the way up with several good kids in Spain and Italy just above the age of twenty. Four time world champions if you inc the 24/28 Olympics which were contested by the best sides of the time. Street football died a death in Montevideo and it had a huge impact on their NT. Not bad for a country of 3.5M. That top commentator Victor Morales is Uruguayan. ... "gracias dios por el fútbol, por Maradona”.

I can't believe that farmer bloke was called Ronald McDonald!! ;D ;D Parents must have had a sense of humour GB ! ;D Lots of families can trace ancestry via Irish , Scottish and English immigrants ie Jose Louis Brown (Scots) and in Patagona ie Puerto Madryn they still speak Welsh.

Big game tonight!
Brazil v Uruguay.
Uruguay team of the tourny so far, against the 2007 champs Brazil. Whoever wins - tops the group.
With Colombia and Ecuador finishing the group same goal difference and goals scored, a ballot was drawn and Colombia will advance while Ecuador will go home.
