Abu Dhabi United will turn football into more of a circus than it is already if this goes ahead. Yet again the only ones to benefit will be agents and players. Knowing players they will all be demanding to be paid in line with Kaka. If the wages being paid were obscene before the economic downturn they are even more so now. The transfer market and wage bills were reachign some semblance of sanity prior to Abramovich and now Sheikh a leg will have done the same thing. Interesting to see how Blues fans react , considering how they have always slagged off Manure in the past as spending this and that (nut based on organic growth and sucess) . But fans usually are quite fickle .

Apparently over the summer Abu Dhabi United nickname 'The Sheikhs' will try and lure both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to Wastelands over the summer with enormous salaries 600K a week and transfer fees totalling £450M GBP. RIP football. Was nice to know you.

Latest from arabianbusiness.com: Brazilian superstar Kaka is demanding a 20 percent increase on his staggering $730,000 weekly salary offer to join Abu Dhabi-owned Manchester City - as compensation for him not playing in the Champions League. Sources close to the club owners on Friday told Arabian Business that the $150 million deal to bring Kaka to Eastlands from Italian giants AC Milan was now "likely" and the owners are hoping to parade their new signing on Sunday. The source said: "There has been a lot of ups and downs and the sticking point has not been the transfer fee but Kaka's wages. His people have seen the offer made to him as being on the low side and they are looking to raise it by 20 percent given the fact that Kaka will not be playing Champions League football for now at least. However, the source added, Kaka's people have now indicated that their man is now inclined to accept the offer. On Thursday, sources close to the club suggested that the club owners had withdrawn their offer for the former world player of the year. However it now appears that both Kaka and AC Milan have been pushing for the transfer to go through. The source added: "The big advantage right now is that there is a global credit crisis and there are not many clubs in the world as financially secure as Man City. This is a very big attraction for Kaka." Arabic newspapers and TV channels were also reporting on Friday that Kaka could be unveiled by Man City as early as Sunday. He's one greedy barsteward, he's one greedy barsteward, one greedy barsteward, ......one greedy barsteward.
