SAINTS have to decide whether to take a financial gamble and play Marek Saganowski in crucial January fixtures according to the Echo
The Polish international has returned to Southampton and resumed training with Jan Poortvliet’s squad following the end of his loan spell with Danish side Aalborg.
However, due to various FIFA rulings, if he plays for Saints this month it would rule him out of a move abroad during this transfer window and end Saints’ chances of selling him to anyone.
Though he could technically still be loaned to an English Football League side it leaves Saints with a difficult decision – play him and almost certainly keep him, or leave him out to see if they can move him on before the transfer window closes and if not play him come February.
It will cost Saints around £150,000 to pay Saganowski until the end of the season.... surely a no brainer... WE HAVE TO PLAY SAGANOWSKI, HE WILL SCORE GOALS THAT COULD SAVE US FROM RELEGATION... SOMETHING DAVID MCGOALDROUGHT IS NOT CAPABLE OF

We should sack Jan Poortvliet, employ an assasin to take care of Rupert Lowe and then employ me as manager. I'd have us play 4-4-2 instead of that gash 4-2-1-2-1 that Jan plays and I'd play a decent team, instead of ones full of kids... sure it would cost the club more, but i'd save us money by actually keeping us in the division Davis Molyneux Perry Lancashire James Skacel Schneiderlin Euell Lallana Wright-Phillips Saganowski Subs: Bialkowski, Mills, Gillett, McGoldrick, Holmes. Sell Andrew Surman and get a right back and centre back on loan till the end of the season and we'd have a quality team!
