Leigertwood attracting interest
Last updated: 3rd January 2009
Queens Park Rangers star Mikele Leigertwood is a target for Bolton, Wolves and Sheffield United, skysports.com understands.
The 26-year-old has impressed at QPR since his arrival in a £900,000 deal from Sheffield United in the summer of 2007.
His performances at Loftus Road have attracted the interest of a number of clubs with Bolton, Wolves and his former club United all keeping tabs on him.
Leigertwood's versatility makes him an attractive proposition for the interested trio as he is equally adept at playing in defence as well as midfield.
Bolton boss Gary Megson is keen to bolster his squad in the January transfer window and he is thought to be an admirer of Leigertwood, who impressed during his two previous stints in the Premier League with Crystal Palace and Sheffield United.
Wolves are looking at adding to their squad and could move for Leigertwood to help boost their bid for promotion.
Leigertwood is still highly-regarded at Sheffield United and the Blades could make a move to bring the midfielder back to Bramall Lane to enhance their options.
