is there an echo when you shriek? Well Francis Jeffers was quite shocked by what I shouted at him last match. hmmmm, you'd have thought he'd have been used to people verbally abusing him

He's gone. £3.5 million it says. I think you got a good deal there. Does smack of you lot giving up on promotion though. I think a million of that only becomes payable if Stoke stay up. There's a pretty good chance they won't! As for promotion, I gave up on that before the season started!

more reports that scunny goalie joe murphy is to join us.... What are we trying to do? Collect goalkeepers like we used to collect strikers under Warnock.

Apparently we've been linked with;
David Nugent for £3.5 million - So we can't afford to keep Beattie, but can afford to pay more in transfer fees for Nugent and afford his wages. ......... somehow I think not!!
Jason Koumas - Not this old chestnut again ...... nope!!
Michael Brown - Do we just have a list of players we say we're interested in at every transfer window and yet amazingly never sign. Maybe someone at the club should look at updating it, it's looking a bit tired!!
Jamie Ward for 400k - I think this is probably the type of player we'll now be looking at. 400k is worth a punt for someone who's been getting goals and good press .......... and if he doesn't make it then ship him out and it's no great loss.

wingers? any rumours about getting rid of Carney and Hendrie? The only chance we've got of getting rid of Hendrie is if some kind nasty accident befalls him. There are clubs who want him, but they're not willing to pay him what he's on with us. So he'll bide his time waiting for him big fat contract to run out, just like Horsefield did and just like Gillespie will!! Rumour has it Carney may be loaned to our Australian branch as we clearly have no use him, as we're not short of one paced wingers!!

Blackwell looks to boolster sideSheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell is hoping to bring in at two more players during the transfer window as his side look for promotion. The Blades have followed up the sale of leading goalscorer James Beattie to Stoke by signing Chesterfield striker Jamie Ward and Blackwell has now turned his attention to a couple of Premier League players. Blackwell said: "We're still on the lookout for a striker and a midfielder because I think that we're still a bit light in that department. "One or two inquiries have gone in already and if some Premiership players move on there might be a chance for those clubs to let players out." ------------------------------------------------------------------- hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Olsen lands Bramall Lane trial
Championship outfit Sheffield United have handed a trial to Bodo/Glimt winger Trond Olsen.
The Norway international has become a popular figure during the January transfer window, with a host of clubs tracking his availability.
Premier League duo Everton and Fulham were both believed to be keen on the 24-year-old, but it is the Blades that have offered him an opportunity to impress.
Olsen is hoping his time in England will prove to be worthwhile and is looking forward to the prospect of testing himself at Bramall Lane.
"I have known about this for a few days and it will be very exciting," he told Avisen Nordland.
"There are a few serious offers on the table now, with the likes of Fulham showing an interest."

sign him. sign him. sign him. if we've the money and any ambition SIGN HIM!

So I heard we've switched targets to Darius Vassell !! No idea about the midfielder ........ Brown for the 20th time ...... Tonge back on loan?? Harewood won't leave top flightAston Villa striker Marlon Harewood is not interested in a move to the Championship, according to the player's agent. Harewood has struggled for regular first-team football at Villa, and has yet to start a Premier League game this term. The 29-year-old had been linked with a switch to Stoke City, but their capture of James Beattie from Sheffield United dampened the rumours. Reports of interest from the Blades have surfaced, but Harewood's agent, Phil Sproson, insists the forward is in no hurry to leave Villa Park. Boro link"Obviously that [the speculation] has come out of the fact that Sheffield United have sold James Beattie but Marlon won't go to Sheffield United," Sproson told the Birmingham Mail. "It is totally out of the question. He won't go to the Championship. "We are not exploring (the possibility of leaving). There has been a little bit of interest from one or two others but he is in no rush to leave Villa." Sproson also claimed that Middlesbrough had a loan move rejected for Harewood, adding: "I think Middlesbrough have enquired about a loan and Villa won't loan him." ------------------------------------------- i want olsen
