Law has gone back on loan to Bradford Chapman has gone on loan to Oxford.... .... what are the chances we'll get through this window with no significant transfer activity? I can see us selling Naughton, to cash in while he's hot property. Beattie may also fancy a move back to the Premiership for one last crack at it, and if an offer comes in around what we paid for him then I think we'll take it. As for buying anyone .......... no I don't think!!

.... it'd be nice if we could at least keep some of youngsters about and give some of them a crack at the first team

Mariners targeting Carney
Sheffield United winger David Carney is among several Blades players on the shopping list of Central Coast Mariners manager Lawrie McKinna.
The Australian club already have links with the Championship outfit and McKinna hopes to use that to his advantage ahead of the Asian Champions League.
He said: "We will be looking at strengthening and I will be talking to Sheffield United about maybe getting one or two of their players.
"I know David Carney is looking to get a move from Sheffield United and if he doesn't get away in the transfer window then I will definitely try and get him on loan.
"I think playing in the (Asian) Champions League will be preferable than playing reserve team football."

Interesting....

Possible McFluff may be joining you. You're welcome to him. He is as lazy and a complete waste of space to have ever set foot on the Vicarage Road turf. Blackwell must be on the sherry too much at the moment.

no. not hear that Then you must be the only blades fan who I've spoken to today who hasn't mentioned it. Everyone seems to think that full details will come out on Monday, to ensure that the fans don't kick off about it at Saturdays home game!!

not when you consider the size of his wages. I have a feeling that's what we're doing ........... trimming the wage bill as promotion looks unlikely!! I can't say I'm gutted as maybe we'll be a little less Beattie focused than we have been!!
