lol i was waiting for Alex to say that ;D honestly the ref was shit last night but i think it highlighted a general problem 1. why does the keeper get so much protection as soon as he is touched its a free kick 2. why does the ref if not sure first consult with a linesman before coming a decision anyways i think hull played well even though they did have the wrong tactics and a point would have been a fair result

It was the fact you could plainly see the linesman listening to the 4th official in his earpiece watching a tv monitor.

We'd conceded 9 goals in our previous two games, and were coming up against a great strikeforce. We let you have possession, but let's be honest, how much threat did you have up front? None. Granted we weren't a threat either, but having conceded so many recently, it was a case of getting back to basics, and getting a clean sheet.

Yes you had Reo-Coker at right back, but we have no naturally left-sided player, bar Halmosi, who has not been getting games recently, apart from the odd 10 minutes here and there, so he was never going to be at his best. With regard to Zat Knight, he may just be getting back into the team, but that was the same with Daniel Cousin, he'd been dropped recently, because he's an arrogant bastard, and he too wasn't at 100%. Geovanni and King were both dropped, as they'd been playing in every game, and hadn't produced. Yes they're quality players, but you can't keep playing them if they're not performing. No-one is untouchable (bar Ian Ashbee, don't get me started on that one), and Brown needed to shake things up.

Swings and roundabouts. Shittu had a goal disallowed for a 'foul' on Myhill in the first leg of the playoff semi-final that could have changed the complexion of that series. Phil Brown like most managers needs to stop whining about decisions. They generally even themselves out over a season. Funnyhow he ddn't complain then. The man is definitely noty welcome in this corner of Hertfordshire.

Not having a go at the Tigers just Mr.Brown , Mr.Whinger et al.
Whinger always manges to see the decisions that don't go in his favour while overlooking those which benefit his side.
If only for managers with more integrity a la O'Neill, Southgate ,Coppell ,even Rafa sometimes who say fair cop.
Managers and players too often like to use the officials as a sop for their own failings. Its happenend in the past and it will happen again until the neanderthals at the FA implement technologu to help the referee.
Every other sport is doing it, why an earth football considering the financial implications for clubs is not is beyond belief.
Then again with luddites like Blatter and Platini in charge its not that surprising. No doubt allows them to fix results as they did when Havelange was in charge and the farce in Korea .
