The FA will be looking at further evidence provided by Barnsley FC regarding the potentially fatal incident suffered by their forward Iain Hume courtesy of an intentional elbow from Morgan.
He will no doubt get a ban of some sort but should it be extended say for a season & the Blades made to pay compensation ?
As of now it seems unlikely Hume will ever play again and he cost the Tykes £1.3M an investment which will be going down the drain.
In ever litigious times its only likely Hume may order civil proceedings against Morgan.
Elbowing in the game is dangerous if it catches a player in the temple or eye orbit or where the skull plates fuse.
After the furore over the Eduardo incident last season what shoudld happen to Morgan ? Was it truly malicious or ill timed. Either way elbowing is not acceptable surely ?
Love to know what the Blades fans think about Morgan ? Hero or zero ? Should the club take more action against him ?Or is it beign blown up out of all proportion ?

Always liked Morgan. We used to call him 'one touch and slide'. A tough lad with limited footballing ability. No malice intended I'm sure. Banning him will not change his whole-hearted approach to the game. Hume/Barnsley will no doubt get their reward in the courts. In the scheme of things it was an incident that from time to time happens on the football field. D'Urso (wanker) saw it as a yellow card. Even if they make a 'red' 3 games should be the max. However this would set a dangerous precedent and every incident that clubs disagreed with would end up at the FA's doorstep.

In answer to the original question ....... no!! Of course he should! Should have been a straight Red at the time! Diabolical decision by the FA - i wonder what course of action they would have taken had it been Rooney or Gerrard on the recieving end of Morgans elbow?
