The game against the magnificent Reading FC on Saturday will see the first return of Chris Armstrong since his departure in the summer. He was an excellent servant to Sheffield United and many have questioned the decision to allow him leave. After suffering a horrific knee injury just a few months into his time with the club, Armstrong came back over a year later better than ever. He will be most remembered for the pinpoint cross which found Akinbiye at Hillsborough, as well as his stunning long rang equaliser against Cardiff last season. Used predominantly as a left back, Armstrong's versatility often saw him moved around the pitch by managers. Neil Warnock was a fan of him playing on the left hand side of midfield, and Bryan Robson even used him as a holding midfielder. In his 5 years Armstrong was an excellent servant to the club, despite frustrating fans at times. He was the player that if the team was playing well, he'd skip past a couple of defenders before picking out his teammate with an excellent pass. However, when the crowd was on the team's back, his passes seemed to always find the back of the kop. Chis was quoted as saying: 'This game is a special one for me, I've been looking forward to it since I came here (Reading FC). I was there for five years and had some good times. However those disgusting Piggy fans get right on my nerves. Why they can't be stylish, intelligent and sophisticated like the Wednesday fans I'll never know. We'll shut the gobby bastards up on Saturday that's for sure!'I like him!

What has the injury got to do with his statement? I must admit I thought it a little provocative, but he's a competitive guy!

actually quote: 'This game means nothing to for me, I've been looking forward to getting an Xbox for Christmas. I was bored for five years and had no good times. I've got no real memories and it's a great place to go out and get drunk.
I can't stand the fans - I always hated them and I think they live in a bubble. I was lazy when that bastard Kevin Blackwell arrived so I lost my place and never really got a look in.
'But I've got a big problem with the manager, it was just one of those things and it was probably time for me to have a fresh challenge. I was out for two years with idle-itis. I was told to buy a pub by one surgeon but Neil Warnock and the chairman told me to fuck off to Wales.
'Thankfully I did, and now every day I get to play football is a blessing for me, so I just hate every game.
'I don't care about Reading or Sheffield United...hopefully that will continue! They were always shit games and always seemed to have something that made things kick off!
'They've got the highest attendance in the league so it will be a tough task.'
Armstrong has also commented on the Chris Morgan situation after playing alongside him for thr Blades.
'Morgs is like that - he's fully committed and goes in for challenges he can't win, unfortunately bad things happen now and then, but I'm sure he meant it.'

After the match Chris was quoted as saying:
Jesus Christ did you hear those Piggy's whine? We stuck it to em and showed em who's boss. I'm just glad to be able to leave that stinking pit of place and head back down south.

Thanks for Chris Armstrong. Been one of our most consistent players of the season.
