England call for Blades' Naughton Sheffield United defender Kyle Naughton Naughton has been linked to Aston Villa and Manchester City
Sheffield United defender Kyle Naughton has been called into the England Under-21 squad for Tuesday's friendly against Czech Republic at Bramall Lane.
The full-back, 20, has not been in the squad before and had been a target for the Republic of Ireland.
He has been linked to top-flight clubs despite making just nine Blades starts.
"He is an exciting player and worth his place in the squad. Now it's up to him to get in the team," Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce told BBC Radio Sheffield.

He'll be sat nicely in the shop window if he plays! Exactly!! He's only played 9 games and people are talking about him going to Villa for 6 million quid, which seems a bit mental!! But from what I've seen of him, he does look very good. He's the first truely home grown talent, we've produced for a while and it looks like we'll get the benefit of him for about half a season!!

You say that, but when I had to sell my lovingly nurtured turnip, Dennis, I cried for days...

On the plus side, he made a very nice addition to a traditional ploughmans!
