I never really wanted Dowie, but gave him full support all the way. Feel sorry for him, as I reckon Briatore is defniitely trying to but in with team selection etc. The whole situation is a bit sad really... I'd like to thank Dowie for everything he did for the club though, that 1-0 win at Villa Park will stay with me for a VERY long time.

When you dance with the devil this is what you get.
I expect Briatore to appoint some Italian coach to the post .Maybe even Mancini.
QPR fans have to expect this. The ridiculous rise in tickets topay for the exorbitant wages of the newly arrived mercenaries. Chelsea in miniature for now.
Unfortunately this is the way football is going in England. I expect more foreign takeovers of Championship clubs despite the credit crunch globally.
Dowie knew he was there on a short term with a contract for one year only anyway. I don't expect he'll be long out of employment though.
In a ironic way it would be nice to see the Hoops struggle(no offence to the decent fans of course) just to see how soon the owners tire of their plaything.

Wonder if we'll end up with Dowie when Calderwood gets sacked (which I suspect is not too far off happening).

Or he is still aiming to get Burton Albion promoted first ? Funnily enough it was raised on another board that he has just completed 10 years in charge there. Which suggests he is happy with the job and the relative lack of expectation / limelight. Plus, his family are in the area so I guess he's just happy with what he's got. I personally wouldn't go for him, for many reasons.

If it was another team, I'd like to see them struggle as well, trust me, QPR fans aren't happy with hwt our club is being changed into, there are rumours of a power struggle at the moment... and that Briatore and Ecclestone could be gone before too long, with Mittal takign over the reigns.

He seem's to have been forever there playing people like Starbuck ,Chettle when they came to the end of their careers. I guess I would like to see him at the City Ground with Pearce simply for nostalgic reasons ,namely his father and perhaps he could sprinkle the magic again. But then again there is no room for nostalgia anymore. Hope you get off the foot of the table soon GT. You are starting to improve.
