I saw this woman on this morning who was the spokeswoman for Maddy's mum and she said that she was a caring mum who would do nothing to harm her children - a loving and caring mum and dad do NOT leave their 3 children - all under the age of 4 - by themselves whilst they go off for dinner. The other thing is if this proves to be the parents, how is going to make those who have donated £1000's to the charity feel?? They won't get a penny of that back. They have been on the news on about Maddy, all this publicity etc etc and the world feeling sorry for them, front pages of the papers most days, since she went missing, all that publicity....... today on page 13 of the Mirror were the parents of Rhys Jones, now you want to see brave parents then look no further than the photo of that little boys dad and brother carrying his coffin into that cathedral. Rest my case! Couldn't agree more with your sentiments. The Jone's are a credit, and I really applaud the way they've asked everyone to celebrate his life

Rest my case! Precisely my point. We've been hearing about this one kid for over 100 days, and this poor guy gets shot and killed, and before the funeral has even happened its dropped to the bottom of page 10. Where's the fairness? There are hundreds of other kids who have been killed, or abducted since then and we don't even know their names.

What do you reckon in tomorrows press, we;'ll have the Mail, Express, Sun etc appalled and outraged that anyone could even think that they had something to do with it. Never mind the fact that the police are a group of professionals who must know a lot more about the case than the tabs ever will. Never mind the fact in the majority of child abduction cases the parents are responsible. They're clearly a middle-class well-to-do family of innocents and MURDOCH MUST BE RIGHT!!!!
Whilst the majority of me is obviously feeling sad for the kid, there is a part of my brain that wonders what the Mail and the Express would do if the McCanns were found guilty. Hopefully self-implode.
