Has it been confirmed that she is dead? They haven't found a body, no - but apparently the police found traces of Madeleine's blood in a car the parents hired 5 weeks after she went missing. So either someone renting the car before them got Madeleine's blood in it, or the parents did, it would seem. How accurate all that actually is, I couldn't begin to say, but that's the thing going round. Either way, finding the blood in the car isn't exactly a positive sign, though obviously blood in and of itself doesn't guarantee death.

The fact that they have suspected the mother, gives an indication that they are desperate and have no leads.

Has it been confirmed that she is dead? no. But blood has been found? I stopped paying attention to the media circus surrounding the case. It became ridiculous to the point of slightly sick IMO!

Totally agree with regards to the media hysteria - however the McCanns are responsible for that - someone told me they've got Clifford working for them. Says a lot about them - that they're prepared to exploit this awful situation. Also found blood in the flat, so the resluts may have come through - who knows - and this is why they're being interviewed and earmarked as suspects it maybe proceedure. One thing is for sure the Police are pissed of with them and this maybe a knee jerk reaction for the bad publicity the McCanns are generating for Portugal

I'd be amazed if she does turn up alive. The media exposure could be counter productive. If she had been kept hostage the chances are that the kidnapper would have panicked knowing that there was no way that they could hide Madeline from the public.
The media exposure may have backed the kidnapper in to a corner, where they felt they had no choice but to kill Madeline!

I think she's dead as well for the reasons you expressed above, or at the hand of her parents - bless her little soul

PMSL! ;D *doubles up from Hurls' low blow!* I think most politicians believe they are right - and frankly why seek power if you don't think you know what to do with it?

They haven't said whether it was Madeline's blood or not, like the suspected traces found in the apartment. Not 100% confirmed, apparently, but like I said, it's the theory that's being put forward.

I saw this woman on this morning who was the spokeswoman for Maddy's mum and she said that she was a caring mum who would do nothing to harm her children - a loving and caring mum and dad do NOT leave their 3 children - all under the age of 4 - by themselves whilst they go off for dinner.
The other thing is if this proves to be the parents, how is going to make those who have donated £1000's to the charity feel?? They won't get a penny of that back.
They have been on the news on about Maddy, all this publicity etc etc and the world feeling sorry for them, front pages of the papers most days, since she went missing, alll that publicity....... today on page 13 of the Mirror were the parents of Rhys Jones, now you want to see brave parents then look no further than the photo of that little boys dad and brother carrying his coffin into that cathedral. Rest my case!
