Owls boss keeping tabs on possible options
By Chris Burton Last updated: 9th September 2008
Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws continues to track potential transfer targets in Denmark.
The Owls chief has recently been on scouting a mission to the Scandinavian country, and was impressed by what he saw.
The Danish market appeals to English suitors as player contracts tend to end in December, making them ideal acquisitions during the January window.
Laws admits it is vital he has a number of possible options available to him at any one time, despite admitting he has no money to spend at present.
Positive
"We have a list of players who might be available and I shall be keeping my eye on two or three of them," Laws told the Sheffield Star.
"If we do start to find some money, I have to be in position to move in the right direction.
"I still have to do my work to the best of my ability by watching players and games - though some might say it is time wasted.
"It was a positive trip to Denmark. That said, one of the players we were looking at has been given a new contract by his club. I think we arose their suspicions when we were there.
"That one looks a non-starter now, but there are other players of interest there who would be affordable if our financial circumstances improve."

Laws looking for free transfers hardly speaks well of the chances of the supposed "takeover"....
