Comes out very soon, so all the pretenders can get back in line! Unless of course it's a pile of shit like their last album

Not a big fan, but I love 'For Whom The Bell Tolls' and 'One'. Jen, you rock! For Whom The Bell Tolls is my favourite, I was so happy when they played it at Sheffield Arena in 1996!

Aah, I bet it's amazing live! Dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun... Didn't they buy the rights to a film so they could feature it in the video for One? I've probably just made that up though lol.

I went out and read the book off the back of it too, so educational in that respect Not sure about the rights thing but they did splice the video with an old war film called 'Johnny's Got His Gun'.

A friend saw them at Reading festival, and his opinion went like this:
"They played one of the songs on their new album, and... argh, it was really annoying. The verses were great, it was like their old stuff again... but just as you were getting into it, it hit the chorus and went all fucking St Anger again. Which was shite."
If that's a reflection of the album as a whole, I'll probably give it a miss - if it's just that one song, though, I might be tempted. I hated St Anger with a passion, so the good bits on that album won't be enough to make up for it if it ends up being a 50:50 split.

Sadly one of my esteemed friends who is also a long standing 'Tallica fan told me yesterday that it is a heap of festering shite. Not really looking forward to it

Well, one store in Birmingham had it out today somehow. Have listened to bits of it and it's pretty awesome. My brother's a bigger fan of their stuff and he's enjoyed it too.

It's pretty damn good! Apart from a ropey ballad and a self indulgent instrumental...
Impressed, but my expectactions were sub zero, which probably helps!
