....Apparantly.
Kevin Keegan is rumoured to have resigned as Newcastle manager after showdown talks with the club's directors on Monday.
Markets on the first Premier League boss to leave his post this season have been withdrawn by many bookies after Keegan's odds tumbled.
Sky Bet's Dale Tempest said: "The rumour mill in the north-east is working overtime and the money has followed accordingly.
"The transfer deadline was simply a disaster for Newcastle, with no significant purchases, and we wait to see what Keegan's response is."
Dennis Wise, the executive director (football) at St James' Park, has already been installed as 4/1 favourite to take over as Magpies manager. Bwahahaha!!!
Keegan is reported - by the Daily Mail - to have been 'called into a 2pm meeting on Monday which club insiders described as 'very important but not related to transfer business' and it is believed a heated discussion took place, with managing director Derek Llambias making it clear they were not happy'.

just been on ssn that he hasnt turned up for training today but they havent confiirmed hes gone yet. mike ashley causing all the shit hes the one that should go.
Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan has been holding talks with the Magpies board as speculation mounts over his future, BBC Radio Newcastle understands.
Reports have suggested that the 56-year-old has been unhappy with the club's policy on transfers.
Their only business on transfer deadline day was a £5.7m swoop for Spanish striker Xisco and the loan signing of midfielder Ignacio Gonzalez.
Keegan made a dramatic return to Tyneside in January

Newcastle are not a joke. Its the idiots who have run the club the latest example being Mike Ashley. He is a complete knob drinking on the terraces like a lout, employing a chav hated by most throughout football in the form of Wise , promising enormous funds to Keegan then selling off Milner. I'm surprised he hasn;t organised a discount sale of players just yet. Truth is theer are more &more of these scoundrels around in football. Businessmen who see football clubs as a plaything to make money without realising its virtually impossible to turn around a profit. If Wise takes over as manager god help the Toon. The sucess at Leeds was entirely down to Gus Poyet who actually posesses a football brain & is doing a solid job with Ramos at Spurs. At least Wise will have company in the form of that fellow chav Barton who should be doing hard labour with the word SCUMBAG marked on his forehead & behind bars. This is the sole thing that has disappointed me about Keegan , in that he has supported this lout throughout. If Keegan goes that will be the end of him in pro football . though he'll probably turn up as a pundit now & then & continue to run his football academies. Top man unlike Ashley.

Always thrash Spurs though ;D I know, and I just don't get it Cracks me up, my Uncle is a Spurs fan and every year he has a two quid bet with my Gran who to all intents supports Newcastle. She has a series of cheques pinned to the wall It does feel strangely gloomy on Tyneside today though, was brilliant sunshine yesterday.

Our biggest bogey team over the last 7 or 8 seasons is Walsall! Played in their league for most of that and never ever beaten them!

The ground is much less than half a mile from my office, apparently there are hundreds of Toon fans protesting at SJP car park but I can't hear anything.

Haha have you seen 'em on SSN? On their way to collect their dole money it looks like. I'm sure most Newcastle fans are decent folk but they always seem to show the ugly chav fuckers who can't speak properly. Or is that the accent!? ;d Would really feel for 'em if Wise takes over.. Between the laughs anyway!! ;d
