LONDON - Princess Diana’s family solemnly marked the 10th anniversary of her death Friday, with her younger son eulogizing her as “the best mother in the world.” The bishop of London used his sermon at a memorial service to call for an end to the sniping between Diana’s fans and detractors, and a priest who has led an annual remembrance said it may now be time to let go. “To lose a parent so suddenly at such a young age, as others have experienced, is indescribably shocking and sad,” Prince Harry said at the memorial service at the Guards’ Chapel near Buckingham Palace. “It was an event which changed our lives forever, as it must have done for everyone who lost someone that night,” said Harry, who was 12 when Diana died. “But what is far more important to us now and into the future is that we remember our mother as she would wish to be remembered, as she was: fun-loving, generous, down to earth and entirely genuine,” he said.

Might sound harsh, but I couldn't give a lesser shit. I'm with the priest who called to let it go, it's been 10 years for god's sake! Why are there still conspiracy theories in the press on a daily basis?

FFS, people should come to terms with it!!!
Yes it was a life cut tragically short, but Jesus, there's people who have travelled overnight to stand at the gates of her last residence.....would they even do this for their own flesh and blood?

Found myself saying to the TV; "She's dead, let it go."
I'm too young to know anything that she did, and I was only 5 when she died. And back then, I was more interested in getting muddy and throwing hedgehogs about.

It's also 10 years to the day of Mother Teresa's death. Judging by the memorial you'd have trouble realising which one devoted their life to the poor and needy and which one exploited the life of privilege she was born into.

C&P from another of my tirades. ;D
Exactly why is she a remarkable human being ?
Is it because she was a royal family member ? Is it not worth remembering the brave lads & lasses who arrive in Brize Norton in coffins or those now disabled serving their country because they are the serfs ?
She didn't make a scientific discovery, compose a great symphony , write a great work of literature , design a fantastic building or rescue somebodys life.
She was a media hungry slapper who Charles didnt even want to marry.
At least Prince Phillip for all of his gaffes served this country in the Royal Navy on a K class destroyer in the Med , abloody difficult & dangerous job considering the Axis air power there.
What a waste of money on that needless fountain.Better spent at St.Dunstans or a hospice or something worthy.
This deification like that of the terrorist Mandela by the right on lefties is appalling.
I was embarassed by the hysteria at her death by many who wouldn't even shed a tear over a close relatives death.
If you're ever questioning your self worth, or even your humanity, watch the footage of the retards stood outside Kensington Palace and Buck House in the week after the slapper had her last wallbanger. Hugely edifying stuff.
You were lucky Hannah. I had to cringe for days on end atthe sight of these zombies wailing & shrieking not to mention our erstwhile chairman tinkling the ivories at Westminster Cathedral.
Not to mention the funeral procession throwing flowers onto the cortege etc etc. Gut wrenching reality TV horror at its finest in the age of superficiality.
Plus we have to put up with that very shady character Mo Fayed (just look at hs past in Egypt) for year after year. I wish someone would whack him too. ;D

It has been a long time but what the f*ck is that murdering bastard Charles doing in the picture. A wrong was done that is why the conspiracy theory is still around because there's no smoke without fire.
Time to let go - RIP Diana sack the monarchy because no one gave a f*ck before Diana and no one has since.

There are some amazingly cringe-worthy tributes on the Beeb website. Such as
"I was 9 years old when Diana became Princess of Wales and I have loved her ever since. I was lucky enough to meet Diana and she was the most beautiful, kind person I have ever met. I now visit her grave at Althorp on her birthday every year and Kensington Palace on the anniversary of her death, and as a member of the Diana Appreciation Society, am dedicated to protecting her memory. The world seems a much colder, harsher place without her presence. God Bless, Diana. I still love and miss you."
I choose to name and shame you, Amanda Geary of Nottingham.
Still, this nausea pales into insignificance next to all the conspiracy theories peddled by the Express. Tomorrows headline's due to be "Prince Philip, In the Tunnel, With the Candlestick." The clues in her name. Died In A Nasty Accident.
That's all!
