But boss admits striker would be 'very expensive option' By James Dall Last updated: 11th August 2008 Hull City manager Phil Brown has revealed the club have contacted Chelsea regarding a move for striker Claudio Pizarro. Pizarro, 29, has been linked with a transfer away from the Blues this summer after a frustrating debut campaign at Stamford Bridge, with Argentine giants River Plate reportedly interested in his services. However, the forward's agent has insisted he is keen to remain in Europe, and Stoke City have emerged as potential suitors with rumours claiming they are lining up a season-long loan for his services. But with the Tigers hopeful of bolstering their attacking options ahead of the new Premier League term, Brown has confirmed the club are interested in holding talks with Pizarro. "We've made contact with Chelsea with regards to Claudio," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail. "It's a very expensive option, but again, it would be one if we got the option to speak to the lad or the opportunity to speak to the lad, then who knows? "But as far as we are concerned we have made contact with Chelsea and that's where it lies at the moment."

Expensive & useless. He has lost his hunger. Hell he cant even be bothered to play for his national team anymore & they have decided after his partying antics during the Copa America last year they would not touch him with a barge pole. Better to go for a young hungry player like di Santo. But hell heres to Hulls pillock of a manager making more cockups.

Still got that bitter taste in your mouth from Brown's major cock-ups in both legs of the Play-Off semis mate?

Me bitter Alex. No way !! We're only shaking the piggy box to see how many pennies are left . I dont dislike the club of most of the fans barring a Charv minority who thought it was big of them to taunt women & kids up at the KC. And I really dislike Brown. A snide c**t whose remarks after the first playoff semi-final were incredulous. I hope he gets the sack ASAP.

I can't make excuses for the Chavvy minority. Every club has them, and every club has had the same things happen that City have. What comments did Brown make? I didn't know he had made any out-of-the-ordinary comments?

They related to the refereeing Alex. The first goal was ruled out correctly when it was not , comments on the behaviour of our players when they did nothing wrong (Eustace was a bit headstring with one challenge but he always is). The sending off was correct when it was farcical. Myhill was not a spectator. Eh ? His views on the game were so out of sync with other commentators like Kamara he must have watched a completely different game. Frankly they got under my skin along with most Hornets. There was no graciousness & sagacity on his part.
