Several Premier League clubs will be on alert after Manchester City star Michael Johnson reportedly turned down the offer of a new contract. The England Under-21 star has three years left on his current deal but he is now a hugely important part of City's squad. As such City offered him a new five-year deal to reward him for his progress. But Johnson has shunned the offer, which is sure to interest a number of clubs who have already shown an interest in the player. Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton are all thought to hold a strong interest in the 20-year-old and could be tempted to launch a bid. Despite rejecting the deal, it is understood that talks are continuing between City and Johnson's representatives. ----------------------------------------------- i read he was off to Arsenal and Richards is off to Man Utd
