That sounds lovely Mike.
My rant is over. It was long overdue. It's like giving blood so some tea and cake would be great. Thanks

Just wondered if Ovechkin actually knows (sill me, of course he does) why the 'drug cheat' was punished?? She failed to turn up at pre-arranged training venues on 3 occasions - she didnt know she was being tested, she had to change training venues and forgot to notify the testers.
Do you know why she couldnt train at the venues on those set dates??
1. She arrived to find a school sports day was underway so trained somewhere else. 2. Weather - she had to train indoors due to rain. 3. She found the venue already in use by a number of athletes so went to a more private venue to train.
She was then banned, down to a technicality that had only recently been introduced into the Drug Testing rules, and she was the 1st to miss tests so was made an example of.
You cannot liken her to Chambers who took drugs willingly, knowing they would help him.
I applaud her, and couldnt give a flying fuck what the other competitors thought - she didnt over celebrate, was very humble in victory and i was chuffed to bits for her.

I happen to have some Battenburg right now, actually I'm taking a shed load of that over to Georgia to help sort out their squabble with the Russkies. Wont take long, a cup of tea and some battenburg and they'll be exchanging prisoners left, right and centre in no time! ;D

My mum and dad have just told me that Victoria Pendleton lives in their village - no one realised who she was, don't think she has been there long She used to train at Mildenhall, so my local paper was full of stuff about her today! If Goldie Sayers wins a medal, then no doubt it'll be full of stuff about her. Like it was about Ross Edgar... Both from Newmarket. Wahey, Suffolk has sporting heroes!

Have you a brain twit ? Coventry has British parentage .Mason has no link to Britain in any way shape or form.He was initially nurtured by the Jamaican Federation then given the funding in conjunction with the NCAA in the USA to enter their collegiate system with all of its substantial training resources. And as for Ohorougus gold just look at Sanya Richards face . The other athletes are far from happy & when we go the sanctimonious route about drug taking in other countries ,then appear to condone it ,its no wonder press in other countries state the hyprocritical nature of the BOA policies. As today with Botox Barker & Colin Jacksons maudlin concerned faces regarding the positive test for Blonska whilst leaping around for a drug cheat yesterday. And as for Blonska if the policy had been life bans none of this would have arisen anyway inc. what happenend yesterday. She'd have been removed in 2005 from any further competitions. I'm sure Eric Lidell would be pleased by the comparison to himself & this cheat from the BBC. Why not let Chambers compete too ? If you get annoyed by what I write don't bother what I post. Its not compulsory. You're free to voice your opinion in response , ill thought out as it is . Doesn't take much to get you wound up does it. Well done to Danvers-Smith,Shaw, Patten & Payne & to the boxing team with James DeGale assured of a bronze in addition to Jeffries & Price. Right fuck-wit. I'll respond to Imp's post. With regard to my partner Imp, she's no twit. She works for a living. Unlike yourself (unless of course you consider typing your lop-sided opinions on here all day or, when you're fingers aren't walking your keyboard, they're playing with your penis as some form of viable "job") You're a patronising and unctious moron in my opinion. And if you don't like this post, don't read it. After all it's not compulsory. And bear this in mind, he who speaks less, says most. You might want to consider that in future when you're preparing another essay - there's room for other posters on these threads. But you seem to insist on force-feeding your "knowledge" onto the rest of us without consideration of other peoples' opinions or ideas. You're a very blinkered individual who I daresay loves the sound of his own voice. God, you must be incredibly dull in real life (when you're not wanking or typing in equal measure) Word to the wise here, at no extra charge, please don't try and belittle me by way of sulky response; I'll gladly tear you a nice, shiny, new arsehole. *Grabs popcorn and settles down to enjoy the fireworks*

The sane part of me says 'don't rise to the silly tw@t', but by Christ man, you know how to annoy the life out of me! You're banging on one minute about how Kirsty Coventry should be representing our country (even though she was born in Harare) and then the next we hear from you in your mammoth updates (don't get me started on those) is that we shouldn't be celebrating the silver medal won by Germaine (his name starts with a G, just for the record) Mason because he's not British...make your mind up! *and breathe* Have you a brain twit ? Coventry has British parentage .Mason has no link to Britain in any way shape or form.He was initially nurtured by the Jamaican Federation then given the funding in conjunction with the NCAA in the USA to enter their collegiate system with all of its substantial training resources. Mason's old man is English so he does have a link.

Mason's mother persuaded him to switch allegiance, and Mason's change in nationality was ratified by athletics' governing body, the IAAF, in 2006.

Ovenglove whatever is indeed a person who seems to think he has more of an education than the rest of us and in posting clever posts thinks he has gotten us all fooled. Bollocks. Some folk just cannot be told.

Mansfield is in Nottinghamshire, first time I've ever heard them report on a story from there lol. Haha, that reminded me of The League of Gentlemen.

Yeah, I think they're renaming a swimming pool place after her there. Did she train in Yorkshire or something? Otherwise, I can't really see the relevance of her!

She swam thro' the effluent of the Humber to hone her skills.
