I know I dont come on here too often or post too much, but I am doing the Great North Run this Year and I am running for Yorkshire Cancer Research. A good cause im sure you will agrre so I thought it was worth posting . This is my first ever Great North Run. In preparation I will have been training for approx. 16 weeks and within that time I hope to have run nearly 300 miles in training for the run just to be ready in time. Please give generously as it is all going to a great cause. Many people have their lives affected through one way or another through cancer. Charities such as Yorkshire Cancer Research need your money to provide adequate research facilities so that cancer may one day be a thing of the past. Thanks www.justgiving.com/huddsjames

Thats so good of you Alex, its hard to express on here in written words but then generousity of people you dont know willing to sponsor you means a lot. Especially though I am doing this for personal fitness but at the same time I know I would give it up if I wasnt doing it for charity. Im young, but before starting training for this I was pretty unfit!

I am, its amazing what a difference it makes. At the moment my maximum run has been 10k/6.3 miles in training but I know I can run further. Im going to try step it up in the next few weeks and at least run 13 miles 3/4 weeks before GNR.
