I have recently bought myself some speakers... some surround sound speakers! However only one cable can fit into the iPod at one time unfortunately, and there are three cables! So i do have sound, but only from the subwoofer and one speaker. Anyone know any device that can make the three cables magically turn into one that plugs into the iPod, and achieves surround sound?

I purposely bought them to play my iPod on, as i find 'Made For iPod' speakers sometimes of low quality, and never more than two speakers for surround sound. I thought there must be something out there that does it!

My mate bought some speakers for his iPod Al but it was just simply a case of plonking the iPod into the 'docking bay' and that was basicly that. I don't get how yours is made for an iPod but doesn't work that way? Why is it you always have to be a pain in the ass!

I bought these..... www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3256705/-/Product.html?searchstring=SPA2600&searchsource=0"Connect to all your gear - Perfect for MP3, PC, TV, CD & more"And yes i can connect my iPod, but there are three cables that should be able to be plugged in somewhere, but obviously the iPod only has one socket. I do have sound, only the subwoofer and one speaker, not very surroundy soundy.

Mate, it doesn't sound like its compatible to me although having said that, other normal mp3 players don't exactly have more than the one socket either. You shouldn't have to constantly buy add ons to make a product work, thats not right. What does the manual say? Are all the leads you were given, plugged in? In that picture, it doesn't show you where the mp3 player goes which is a bit misleading

Isn't there just an 'aux out' socket that you use a cable from to connect to the iPod?

The iPod is fully compatible, i mean i am listening to my iPod through the speakers right now, the only problem being it's only the subwoofer and one speaker producing the sound, hence the lack of surround sound due to two cables being obsolete with the iPod currently. The manual just says to plug them into three sockets.
