First-half goals from Tom Huddlestone and Theo Walcott saw England to victory over Wales at the Racecourse, Wrexham.
With senior managers John Toshack and Fabio Capello watching, Joe Hart denied Ched Evans and Sam Vokes early on.
Adam Johnson was brought down by Neal Eardley when he broke in from the left, Huddlestone converting the penalty.
Huddlestone then exchanged passes with Walcott from a short corner, Walcott cut inside from the left, and his shot was deflected in off Lewin Nyatanga.
