One thing I am worried about so far looking at these fixtures is a lack of higher quality teams to offer a bit of a challenge

I'm planning to go to Bury Town vs Ipswich, no idea how you get tickets for it though, guessing you just turn up at Ram Meadow.

We're only playing them as part of an agreement between the 2 clubs due to something that happened in the FA Cup last season when they got thrown out

A few more fixtures for you to add Ross, from TWTD; Monday 14th July 7.45pm Cliftonville v Town Wednesday 16th July 7.45pm Chelmsford City v Town Thursday 17th July 7.45pm Donegal Celtic v Town Wednesday 30th July 7.45pm Braintree Town v Town Tuesday 5th August 7.45pm AFC Sudbury v Town Wednesday 6th August 7.45pm Woodbridge Town v Town Some'll be reserve matches, the Irish tour is going to be for the first team (we can assume). There's also an English Universities vs Town tomorrow. Plus, Town'll be in cricket (yes, cricket) action again on 31st July, against Ipswich & East Suffolk. I'll be going along to that, it was hilarious last year.

I'm lucky I don't have frost bite, but we beat Bury 3-0. All the "senior" players were taken off through out the course of the second half, so we were very much left with our academy boys playing. Dean Bowditch played well, but Gary Roberts kept on slipping over for the hell of it. Terrible weather, but worth it all the same. Roll on Brentford.

Bowditch is back as a first team regular Han ? By the way have you got a rich backer in the wings ? Apparently you are chasing Angelos Charisteas for £2M.

He's signed a new contract, which goes up until next summer, so I guess Jim wants to give him another chance. Played well tonight, but it wasn't the first team, it was a mixture of academy boys, and people who want to try and impress Jim (Gary Roberts, Billy Clarke, Shane Supple, Jaime Peters and Bowditch of course.)
We have, Marcus Evans. Nobody has any clue what he looks like, but he's our new sponsor and has given us £12.5 million (I've heard, it's probably less) to spend.

Heard good things about Jaime Peters (any relation to Stephen of Martin ?) Wish we had a Marcus Evans at Watford. Rumoured Alan Lee might come this way for Henderson who'll be going up Norfolk way.

I've always liked him, for some reason. He was shipped off on loan to Yeovil last season, so he has something to prove to Jim. Played alright anyway.
I think the Ipswich policy is not to say anything on departures. There's rumours that Jon Walters could head up to Stoke and various with Garvan and Haynes.

Boo, I wanted to come over for a couple of the friendlies, but it's not justifiable with the cost of flights atm!

2-0 up against Brentford at the moment, new signing Pim has scored. I've spent forever searching, and only just thought of the official Town forum.

Final score: 7-0. Roberts, Lee, Haynes, Peters, Quinn x2 and Wright all scoring. Difficult to get over-excited really, the opposition sounded shite.

"refuses" is slightly strong. I'm happy, not over-excited though. It's not exactly challenging us, and the opposition seemed to be woeful.
Either way, we haven't conceded in the three matches we've played so far.
Roll on the mighty Donegal Celtic! ;d
