Darlington have snapped up Boston striker Julian Joachim.
The Quakers have been chasing the veteran striker for some time and saw a bid for his services rejected last week.
However, Darlington refused to give up on their pursuit of Joachim and agreed an undisclosed fee with Boston on Monday.
Hartlepool are also thought to have made a late move for Joachim, but Darlington have won the race for his signature.
Darlington boss Dave Hodgson is a big fan of Joachim and could only have been impressed as the former Aston Villa man scored twice against his side last weekend.
"Julian is a player who has played at the highest level in the English game and has scored goals wherever he has been," Hodgson told the club's official website.
"He is very fast and his speed worries defences and, along with the players I brought in over the summer months and who have done a great job for us already this season, he will add depth and another option to the front line.
"We are delighted to have signed a player of such proven pedigree as part of our promotion push."
