Forest given no-go in Agogo pursuitBristol Rovers have rejected Nottingham Forest's bid for striker Junior Agogo because "the cost of replacing him" would be too high. The 27-year-old has hit 38 goals in the last two seasons and Rovers have vowed to hang onto their prized asset. "We received a written offer from Nottingham Forest for Junior Agogo, and that offer was considered by the board of directors," chief executive Bill Smith told the club's official website. "The conclusion that board reached was that the offer was insufficient, and as a result it has been turned down. "If we release Junior Agogo then we have to find a replacement player to score 20 goals a season, and therefore a major factor in deciding to let him go or not is the cost to Bristol Rovers of replacing him."
