(sorry for lack of Computer jargon, but my lack of knowledge on the things is why i need help)
Awhile back i put a new operation system on my computer, but it had consequences unforessen by me, i create 3 partitions in my Hard Disk:
1. the new operating system 2. the old operating system - which is called an unknown partition and un-enterable 3. a black partition
As such i've 2 questions i need someone of intelligence to help me with:
1. How do i delete the Partition containing the old operating system? - it won't let me anyway i know
2. How do you merge Partitions?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
if anyone could help i'd be very grateful.

Right click my computer > manage > Storage > Disk Management > Right-click the partition that you want to delete and delete it... it aint hard

If that doesnt work, try downloading partition magic, or a trial version of system mechanic 7. www.iolo.com not sure if you can merge partitions on microsoft disk management, but you can just format the old one, and use it as a new drive. However be careful as you don't want the computer to stop booting. Any probs you can contact me on www.jm-hosting.co.uk or contact me on here Jon (Janner admin's mate)

Download and burn GParted (live cd), run it at boot and it will be able to delete, stretch and shrink any partition, and as it runs without an OS it won't stop you deleting your old OS's partition.
BTW your partition that can't be entered is that maybe formatted in fat32?
