In my opinion, it will be a good move, he has the respect of the players, the media and the fans, a great track record and has proven at Porto he can make an ordinary team into world beaters, good coach and is not afraid of making changes, even in the first half if he thinks his made a mistake.

When he took over from Ranieri he inherited a team of good individuals and melded them along with a few expensive purchases, into a Premiership winning team.
He's already worked with Ashley Cole, John terry, Wayne Bridge, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole and Shaun Wright-Phillips. And he wanted Steven Gerrard.
He's got the tactical nous and European 'relaxed' mentality!
Even though he won't have a cheque book he's guaranteed to be able to pick from the best of English. And he'll turn our squad of under-performers into a team capable of winning a major tournament. He's not scared of picking 'kids' either so after his reign England will have a new crop of youngsters ready to take over the mantle of their seniors!

Lampard will never leave the first team sheet though If he plays as well as he does for Chelsea, I won't care!

get him in, can he do it without Abramovichs billions? To be fair, even Abramovich's money couldn't get him all the players he wanted. With the England job, he gets to cherry-pick the top English players to do as he likes with! I'm not sure he could impose his style of play on the squad in just a few days, though - I wonder if he'll stipulate as part of any agreement that he has to have extra time with the squad ahead of tournaments?

Kate McCann has applied for the England managers job. She has a good record only having lost one in Europe.

Why should the FA waste yet more money on an overpriced & overrated manager ?
As soon as one result goes awry the flak will be immense no doubt laced with some xenophobia. Its all very well managing a team in a weak league & being extremely fortunate to take the European Cup then being bankrolled to the title with some extremely dull football.
Capello or the likes of van Gaal despite being playing boring football are better bets.
