1 - 0 to frogs at half time usual shit from us, central midfield no spark at all with Hargreaves and Barry. Beckham NOT justifying his inclusion in team, and Rooney doing nothing up front as is normal when he has an England shirt on. Calamity James gives away pen when i think if he had dived forward for the ball he would have got it.

To be fair, listening on the radio, it sounds like no-one's really justified their inclusion in the team tonight. Will the media dare criticise Capello's formation/tactics or the players tomorrow, d'ya think? Or is he still in the honeymoon period where he can get away with "trying new things"? I thought it'd long been shown that England can't play anything other than a bog-standard 4-4-2, personally...

I'd still love to know why the instruction was for Brown to get so far ahead of Beckham - that doesn't work for either player. Tactic to be put to bed? The natural overlap he and Micah Richards had looked much better.

England is no fun to watch at the moment, no excitement and no tournament to look forward to until hopefully 2010.

I think Capello needs to realise England's players don't have the same qualities as continental players, so his usual tactics may not work.
Ginola saying on 5Live now that England don't look like a team and don't have anyone who'll take the ball and run at the defence like Riberry, for instance - have to agree with him.
By the sound of things, everyone was crap tonight. Players not matching the system, or players just not good enough full stop? A bit of both, I suspect...
