Well, it's my first international match next Tuesday in a friendly at Molineux. Here's the squad I can look forward to seeing.
Joe Hart Manchester City Tom Heaton Manchester United Defenders
Scott Dann Coventry City Daniel Fox Coventry City Craig Gardner Aston Villa Michael Mancienne QPR (on loan) Joe Mattock Leicester City Nedum Onuoha Manchester City Ryan Shawcross Stoke City
Midfielders Lee Cattermole Middlesbrough Adam Johnson Middlesbrough Michael Johnson Manchester City Grant Leadbitter Sunderland Jamie O'Hara Tottenham Hotspur Andrew Surman Southampton
Forwards Fraizer Campbell Hull City (on loan) Matt Derbyshire Blackburn Rovers Cameron Jerome Birmingham City Ishmael Miller West Bromwich Albion Luke Moore WBA (on loan)
Feeling slightly underwhelmed by the squad in all honesty, ahd been looking forwards to seeing the likes of Agbonlahor and Noble, but it raises the issue of who's gonna be in the senior squad against France.

Got to say theres still some good players like Gardner and O'Hara there and its still a strong squad...
Hope Shawcross gets his 1st cap this time

Whilst it's not the usual type of squad we select... theres still some talent there, as said above.
Hart is a promising GK. Gardner, Onuoha & Shawcross all good defensive prospects. Adam Johnson was absolute quality when he was on loan with us, wish we had him back tbh - Michael Johnson, O'Hara & Surman are all showing signs of prospering too. To add ontop of that - the forwards named in the squad aren't that bad either, Frazier Campbell has been in awesome form for Hull & will look to impress on his U-21 debut.

O'Hara will be the one to watch from the midfield. If he can get on the ball hes got a good range of passing.

Finished 0-0.
Adam Johnson the stand out player in what was not exactly an enthralling match. The Polish looked technically better than our lot truth be told.
10,000 at Molineux for it.

Well, got back about an hour ago. There were flashes of brilliance mingled with flashes of absolute sloppiness. Johnson and Fox played well on the left wing and Johnson deservedly got MOM. Hart wasn't tested in goal and Heaton made an excellent fingertip save over the bar.
Shawcross looked very nervous in defence and played himself into trouble on a couple of occasions. He was replaced in the second half by Dann, who looked a bit more comfortable, although that may have been helped by playing alongside a team mate in Fox. Mancienne made a poor start at right back, kept drifting too central and being caught out by diagonal balls from right to left. Managed to pick up late in the second half though. O'Hara wasn't great, showed his passing range on a few occasions, but fell into the rut of sloppiness. Onuha looked an assured presence at centreback though.
Jerome worked hard up front after a slow start, but received little support. Moore wasn't good and there was little if any teamwork between the two. Campbell and Derbyshire worked well up front after replacing the starting strikers and I think Campbell was hard done by with the ref blowing the whistle for full timee just as he was bursting into the box and lining up a shot.
Surman was solid if unspectacular in centre mid in the first half. However, he was shifted to the right in the second when Gardener (who wasn't too bad if nothing special in the first) was replaced by Leadbitter (who didn't do a great amount). Putting a left-footed centre mid on the right wing tells its own story though as to how he performed and I wasn't surprised when he was replaced by Mattock, who had no time to make an impact.
Despite this, we had the better of the game. Had one shot from Jerome which was scrambled off the line and O'Hara had a brilliant chance to slot the ball home, but was on his right foot and he chose to control it first and try and get it onto his left before being crowded out. Poland played better as a unit though and seemed to want it slightly more. A couple of their players really could be ones to watch, although couldn't make out their names for the life of me when they were announced.
Finally, the crowd was brilliant. The South Bank was in full voice leading all the chants (as with all Wolves matches), which the entire stadium joined in as a unit and the band was located there as well.

Goood game. was dead cold tho. atmosphere was immense. even the polish were singing quite a bit. (quite a few polish turned up) good game. both england goalkeepers looked promising. more than can be said for our first team goalkeepers.
