1732: GOAL Finland 0-1 Northern Ireland Another corner to Northern Ireland and it's a goal to David Healy. He back-pedals at the back post and meets Sammy Clingan's corner with a powerful header. It's a year almost to the day since Northern Ireland scored away from home - 17 August 2005 against Malta.

"It was a great start from the home side and you expect that. But then Northern Ireland gave an assured, accomplished performance and Aaron Hughes has done well at the back - they've had no problems and at the other end it was a good poacher's goal. If they can continue in that vein I'm sure they'll get the right result. Jim Magilton, BBC Sport NI analyst
"It was a solid half. We took time to get going but then caused them problems. The referee's been a bit one-sided with the free-kicks but it was a good goal and one we worked on in training this morning." Lawrie Sanchez, Northern Ireland head coach
"That's one of the best away performances I've seen in a long time. They are organised in defence and Finland aren't troubling them. It would be a great morale booster if they can get a result here." Billy Hamilton, BBC Sport NI analyst
1747: HALF-TIME

1822: GOAL Finland 0-2 Northern Ireland An excellent move is rounded of by a Kyle Lafferty goal . Northern Ireland break from defence. It is worked up the left by Tony Capaldi before Stuart Elliott switches play to the right where Steve Jones beats his man and crosses for Lafferty to nod in his first international goal. Great stuff.

1831: GOAL Finland 1-2 Northern Ireland Hope for Finland with a goal from Mika Vayrynen. Chris Baird loses possession and Joonas Kolkka finds Vayrynen who plays a neat one-two with Shefki Kuqi on the edge of the area before shaping a wonderful right-footed shot beyond Roy Carroll

Sammy has been brilliant for us, i've watched him come through the youth teams and he just gets better and better, he done brilliant against Finland. I was at the game and got talking to him at the airport, he's loving his football at the moment With Damien Johnson out for our games against Iceland and Spain in a couple of weeks, Sammy is near enough guaranteed to play in both games, Lawrie rates him very highly, he's just one of a number of very promising young players coming through ;D
