Above sum divided by (8 x 5) = hourly rate

Yearly packet divided by 52 = Weekly surely he gets some holiday so it would divide by less than 52 so it would be more than £6.73/hour

Wouldn't it be paid holiday though? If that's the case, it wouldn't affect it...
(25 days' paid holiday here! ;D)

That was one of those 'take it or leave it' contracts - and I think I did well in taking it

Yep, and my Dad said if i don't get a job (Him thinking i'm too lazy to get one) i will have to pay my share of away games ie. half petrol, own ticket etc. But i got the job, so he has to pay for all away games we go to as part of the deal But i am kind and do contribute a bit when i can

I'm torn between exalting you for getting yourself that sweet a deal, or witholding it out of sheer jealousy!

Haha ;D I think next season there won't be any deal, due to me turning 18 next August so will be kind of like a proper adult But still got to make use of what i got this season ;D and no matter what happens, will still go to the games with my Dad ;D

£14000.00 divided by 54 (weeks) divided by 35 (hours) will give you the hourly rate. Holiday should be paid and you should get at least 20 days annually. Average tax and N.I equate to around 24% for this figure so times £14,000 by 0.76 first and then do the above. By my calculation you will be taking home around £5.84 an hour. About 2 pints an hour if you work it out in beer!
