Shocking story, heard it this morning.
Why do people, especially those with kids around them. insist on having these kind of dogs?
They should be charged with something

Didn't this happen in Leicester recently too? My Aunty was telling me about visiting a customer and being confronted with the biggest Rottweiler she'd ever seen.
I've got nothing against dogs (I'm a bit jumpy around them though) but it's obvious that some kinds of dogs need professional and or regulated care and should not be allowed to be kept by just anyone.

Terrible loss of life, these types of dogs should be banned or there should be some sort of training and duty of care put on the owners.
The dog in question has a history of being dangerous, therefore the owner should be up on a manslaughter charge!

They're talking about Dog ASBOs which is ridiculous. These dogs and some other breeds, cross-breeds etc are not only potential but actual killers and maimers, and it's only due to tradition that we keep such beasts as these in family homes (realise that may sound a bit OTT, but then again would you recommend people to keep a crocodile, or a tiger as a pet? what's the difference, given that all three can and will kill children)
