Welcome, If you are coming down you will be visiting the less than salubrious surroundings of Roots Hall as quoted on safc official site. We are a friendly club, if somewhat unhygenic. Pubs near the ground, The Spread Eagle, The Blue Boar , The Golden Lion. If you leave early enough you could make a day of it and visit any one of the many Pubs on the Sea Front. I'm sure you will receive a hearty welcome in most. You might find the prices a little more expensive than you are used to. How many are we catering for.

There are one or two Southend fans, two of them posted on the Colchester thread...

Thorpe eh? the posh end of town. you can even take a stroll on the beach there without getting covered in crap. Not so many pubs that end though, the Halfway House and the Shore House at Shoebury spring to mind. Anyway mate enjoy your weekend, hope the football doesn't spoil it too much for you?

Morning Demon The reason you had difficulty with accommodation, is probably as its still the height of the holiday season.(London Chavs) Don't know where you're stopping but bear in mind for next season, assuming we don't go up to the prem , the Camellia Hotel just after Lifstan Way. on Eastern Esplanade, reasonable rates and does a mean breakfast, just what you need on a Sunday morning. We have played quite well so far this season, obviously watch out for that chap Eastwood, had a stinker against QPR maybe his mind is somewhere else already, also JCR Campbell-Ryce. Wouldn't be surprised to see a draw either. Safe Journey Watch out for the Blue belles at half-time

No, no need to send her to the bar, not sure if you've got one at your end actually. Just some pretty young things dancing around for 10 mins. Won't actually be there on saturday, some how managed to book a week away with the family on the South coast riviera on he biggest match of the season, will be listening out for the result though. Hope you have a good weekend, but not too good
