MK Dons 1-0 Colchester (aet) Colchester's early season woes were compounded when they suffered a fifth straight defeat as they were knocked out of the Carling Cup by MK Dons. Richard Garcia should have put the visitors ahead but his volley came back off the underside of the bar.
The tie went into extra-time and MK Dons striker Izale McLeod settled matters when his 95th-minute strike.
McLeod's effort from the edge of the box looped up off Pat Baldwin and over keeper Dean Gerken.
