Some brief notes on the fans forum held last week:
Director Of Football
Is going to be a position at the City Ground shortly, new boss Calderwood as stated his desire to have one and owner Doughty has reluctantly agreed but Calderwood gets to choose who.
Early rumours state that it is either David Pleat, ex spurs conections and the man who advised the club to appoint him as new manager. Or Craig Brown, the former scotland and Preston manager who we also got advice from, the is currently working for Fulham.
Current and Future Stadium Development
Plans still in place to take the City Grounds capacity to over 40,000. Which will mean the development of the Main stand and 500 more seats in lower Brian Clough. This will only take place after "sustained Premiership football", so a while yet! Current safety certificate states we can house 29,500 people. They are also keen on their policy of NO SMOKING in the ground.
Season Ticket Sales & Prices
Despite getting slated for a 10% increase in season ticket prices the club claim they are currently only 950 behined on last years sales, which has shocked them as they expected to have around 9,000 mark but will be well over that. The main reason they put the prices up was to encourage more match by match sales and getting the club more money that way. Despite the small drop in sale numbers the amount brought in by season ticket holders has gone up.
