Bristol City 1-0 Scunthorpe Bristol City's Enoch Showunmi enjoyed a dream debut as he came off the bench to score the winner against Scunthorpe. Showunmi beat the offside trap to race onto Phil Jevons' flick before rounding the keeper and rolling the ball into an unguarded net after 69 minutes.
City also hit the crossbar through Steve Brooker and Cole Skuse.
Scunthorpe's Ian Baraclough went close late on and they saw Steve Torpey receive a straight red card for a challenge on Louis Carey on 80 minutes.
