Andy Robinson has ended drawn out contract negotiations by signing a new two-year contract with Swansea City.
Robinson, who would have been out of contract at the end of this season, was the subject of transfer bids from Cardiff City and Southend last month.
Negotiations with Swansea had reached a stalemate when the 26-year-old rejected their "exceptional and final offer".
But Swans chairman Huw Jenkins has said a new deal has been struck and "both parties are delighted with the terms".
Jenkins said: "I'm sure Swans supporters everywhere will be delighted that we've finally managed to secure Andy on a new deal.
Andy is ambitious and wants to play in the Championship. I'm sure we can get there together

"It's taken us a bit longer than we wanted, but both parties are delighted with the terms of the new contract.
"It was always our intention to try and keep hold of Andy who, in turn, always wanted to commit his future to Swansea City.
"In fairness to Andy, he has continued to give this club 110% while the contract talks have been going on and I'm sure he will continue to drive this football club forward on the pitch.
"The interest and bids he has attracted from other clubs highlight how highly he is rated within football circles.

Robinson joined Swansea on a free transfer in 2003 after a successful trial period at the Vetch.
He went on to win the Player of the Year award in his first season and has been a consistent performer in the Swansea midfield ever since.
The midfielder has chalked up his fair share of goals along the way, including 18 last season in all competitions.
Swansea revealed they rejected a £300,000 bid from Cardiff and a £200,000 offer from Southend for Robinson in the close season.
