Not one of your personal faves then Stan? Am I that transparent??? I saw them on a Jools Holland DVD playing it live.... and I can't believe that anyone can say it's good...! and isn't one of the giutarists a good mate of john frusciante and now plays in another - quite musical band...? (got a very hispanic name...) most of them are now in the mars volta. Just 'cos it's not you're type of music you don't need to be so harsh on it! It is original, and progressive - but admittedly heavy and hard to listen to. I was trying to embrace as many styles as I could in the quiz so that it didn't favour anybody (but still using songs I knew). This was for the 'emo' kids (I don't really do emo I'm afraid)

Shippers, you are not only a man of elequence but also quite remarkable varied musical tastes. I agree with you that it is important that people can chose music according to their own tastes, however it doesn't get away from the fact that a lot of yours is complete pap

The artists, yes I have heard of most of them, it is the songs I don't know!!! It would have been better (for me anyway) had the lyrics come from such greats as Dylan, MArley, Sting, Elton John Neil Diamond, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Radiohead

No contradiction me old mucker. As for BJ - EVERYONE loves them don't they?!!!!!
Nah, your right mate. I have varied tastes - from the 50's through to current day. If we all liked the same stuff it would be a very boring world indeed!

Your love of Bon Jovi and all things soft rock, hardly makes you the person people should be taking abuse from over theri musical tastes. As my old Nan used to say; 'people in glass houses, shouldn't walk around naked!!'

You'll love it Stan. They REALLY know how to rock a stadium!! Dublin was superb, second only to the Millennium stadium IMO. Who's supporting them down there - Nickelback? A2V - not JUST soft rock! Some of it is pants I agree. Quite into 50's bee bop at the moment

I did put a carpenters one in there after you displaying your mighty knowledge of their back catalogue the other day (hehe), but appreciate that you'd need a broad spectrum to know a few of those songs.

Good tour that one. Saw them at St James' Park. I know a lot of people find them a joke, but some realise that whe you think about it, they've done some great stuff over the years. To still be selling out 85000 seater stadiums after 20 years shows they're doing something right! saw them at don valley arena in 95, excellent all day concert, supported by Crown Of Thorns, Thunder and Van Halen.

Some of it is pants I agree. Quite into 50's bee bop at the moment Which proves the point, it's 'horses for courses'. Musical taste is personal, while Bon Jovi ain't my particular cup of tea, I also realise that not everyone shares my likings for Belle & Sebastian, Depeche Mode, The National, Morissey (The Smiths), Radiohead etc....
